Central Dispatch

BEST PRACTICES FOR SHIPPERS AND CARRIERS

Your safety and security are important to us! We’re doing everything we can to make our platform safe, including:

  • Ensuring shippers have the appropriate authority by allowing only shipper profiles to post loads on our platform
  • Monitoring and suspending users who do not abide by our terms and conditions.

We want our community to be a safe place to conduct business with confidence and transparency. Here are some tips to working with partners on our platform:

  • Check the All-New User Management system to create unique user logins for individual employees and assign them a role, which sets guardrails on what features they can use and what business information they can view.
  • Check the Transactional Ratings and Company ratings to gauge how the company has performed on prior jobs (and pay it forward by leaving reviews!)
  • Complete the dispatch process on the Central Dispatch platform. Transactions made over the phone or otherwise outside our platform create more uncertainty, and higher potential for conflicts between the two parties.
  • Always be cautious of unsolicited or “look-alike” outreach asking you for account or personal information or requesting that you access unknown links or files. Help keep the marketplace a safe place for all and report suspicious activity through the Feedback button.
  • Use our price compare tool to view and determine competitive pricing for similar loads
  • Shippers should review any documents uploaded by the carrier to their Central Dispatch profile pag
  • Shippers should request that the carrier send a current copy of the carrier’s certificate of insurance and/or be added as a certificate holder
  • Shippers should verify the carrier’s current operating authority via DOT SAFER system. Please note, DOT authority is applicable for in-state transportation where they are licensed. Shippers should not place interstate loads with carriers who do not have valid MC Authority, as confirmed in the DOT SAFER database.
  • Carriers should set up notifications for new listings that are posted that match saved searches to take the work out of finding new loads
  • Review the videos in our learning center for additional helpful tips and to get started

Shippers and carriers are responsible for determining what partners they want to do business with and validating any credentials. Central Dispatch is not a party to any agreements.
